Day Two, Las Vegas

August 3rd 2014 – Day 2, Las Vegas

After terrible night’s sleep, got up at 10:30. Ate at expensive but queue free MGM Buffet. When we left at 11:30 queue was huge.

Walked to Luxor in the rain, and looked for elevators to the top. Got to 30th floor but highest floor with view was 22nd.

Took monorail to The Venetian. Amazingly ostentatious shops but also best shop in Vegas so far, Signature Galleries. Then drinks at Canonita by the ‘canal’.

Walked, walked, walked. Shops, shops, shops. Heat getting to me today! So is jetlag. It’s so busy, feels like Oxford Circus, but hot. And with a lot of Americans. Who are very friendly.

Day Two Photos

Having dinner now, at Il Fornaio, inside New York New York, then early night, as we are off to Grand Canyon tomorrow at 6am. It will also be our 5th wedding anniversary and my birthday… NYNY has been the least claustrophobic place to hang around, not just casino machines, but more entertainment variety…
