24 August 2026 – Let’s Dance Mix
On Saturday I made this ‘Let’s Dance’ playlist, which is a subset of my huge ‘Run Shuffle’ playlist. I add anything I like to the Run Shuffle playlist and listen while running, but it has nearly 200 songs and is incredibly random. So I made a smaller, themed playlist. A simple theme: it makes me want to dance. It ended up being 2 hours long. Next time I have party I’m playing it! I don’t think anyone can relate to my music taste. It’s a very personal thing anyway, a fingerprint, but one that’s layered over many years, in my case, many decades 😉
The problem with those in-app, track playlists is that the gaps between songs break the flow, so I queued the songs up to remove gaps and to lightly mix the tracks for continuity. As with other compilations I made before (i.e. Chico Buarque & BrazilMix & Taylor Swift albums w/lyrics), I used Adobe Premiere Pro. My version is so old (V 5.5.0) the font is super tiny and I can’t change their size, not even if I change the resolution on my desktop. But hey, at least I don’t have to subscribe and it does the job quite well, although I’ll soon have to resort to magnifying glasses to use the damn thing!
