I had my driving test and failed again! This time I failed during the manoeuvres: I hit the kerb on the left reversing around the corner (which should only be a minor), then on my parallel parking I didn’t look ahead enough times… Then when pulling out the examiner said I didn’t check my blind spot (on the right hand side), which I did, but obviously I didn’t turn my neck around enough.
So on the next test I will be doing a girl from The Exorcist and turn my neck 360 degrees and then vomit green stuff on the stupid examiner. At least my driving was ok, and I only had 14 faults, all to do with observation, even though I was observing. If I looked any more at my rear-view mirror, I would have not been able to look at the road ahead and would have crashed.
I felt pretty miserable, but my instructor (Gerry) is sweetheart and cheered me up, so on the same day I booked another test at the same centre (at least I’ll know the route) – hopefully with another examiner, as I had the pickiest of them all (according to Gerry, but he was probably trying to cheer me up). On the 21st of October (couldn’t get it any sooner) it will be third time lucky, and if I don’t pass I will have to give up as I have ran out of money. If I pass the whole thing (tests + lessons) will have cost about £1000!
